A 10-tonne iceberg anchors a climate-themed exhibition at SX Food Festival 2026, which opened on November 6 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Part of Sustainability Expo 2026, the festival explores the potential impact of climate change on everyday life and what people eat.

The central installation, “Melting World”, models rising seas through a simulation in which urban flooding expands over the course of the event. It depicts how a 45cm daily increase in sea level could affect cities, including Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the organiser, carbon-neutral methods were used to produce the ice. It said production emissions were measured and reduced, then offset with carbon credits, resulting in a net-zero installation.

The food stalls are arranged around themes linking eating habits with climate change. Celebrity chefs will present specially developed dishes exploring sustainability, future ingredients and shifts in food consumption. The programme also includes guidance on separating waste so that it can be directed to the appropriate destination.
