Chipotle to open its first Southeast Asian outlet in Singapore
The restaurant at Jewel Changi Airport will serve customisable Mexican-inspired dishes, including burritos, tacos and bowls.

Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport will house Chipotle’s first restaurant in Southeast Asia as the American fast-casual chain expands into the region. Channel News Asia reported that the outlet would be located on the mall’s Level 2.
Chipotle said its menu would let customers customise their meals, with choices spanning salads, quesadillas, tacos, bowls and burritos.
Management of the Singapore and South Korean businesses will fall to S&C Restaurants Holdings. The venture pairs Chipotle with Big Bite Company, an affiliate of South Korea’s Sangmidang Holdings, which also operates Paris Baguette and Shake Shack in Singapore.
The chain’s Asian expansion began in Seoul, where its first restaurant opened on September 2 along Gangnam-daero. A second outlet followed on October 28 in Sweet Park at Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam.
Chipotle was established in 1993 in Denver, Colorado. It now has more than 4,200 US outlets, with operations elsewhere including Mexico, Germany, France, Canada and the UK.
