AirBorneo sets November 13 launch for direct Kuching–Jakarta service
The route will have three flights a week, with all-in one-way fares starting at RM399 in Economy Class and RM888 in Business Class.

AirBorneo plans to start flying directly from Kuching to Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on November 13, the airline said. Ticket sales began on October 31 for the service, which will run on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.
The timetable lists a 3.10pm departure from Kuching for flight MY 396. The return service from Jakarta, MY 397, is scheduled to depart at 4.55pm local time.
AirBorneo chief executive officer Megat Ardian Aminuddin said the connection would cater to business leaders, investors and official delegations, alongside patients and families seeking specialist care in Sarawak. Leisure travel in both directions would also be served, he said.
The state-owned carrier also detailed its Northern Winter 2026/27 jet timetable, covering October 25 to March 27. In support of the Jakarta route, flights between Kuching and Singapore have run four times weekly since October 23, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
For the winter season, MY 0385 is scheduled to leave Kuching at 7.35pm, with MY 0386 departing Changi Airport at 10pm. The airline said it had contacted passengers booked on affected Singapore services directly and offered them rebooking options.
AirBorneo is maintaining two daily services between Kuching and Kuala Lumpur. Its afternoon departure from Kuala Lumpur, MY 5004, now leaves at 3.40pm.
