Thailand targets ฿630 million in tourism revenue from year-end campaigns
The three initiatives offer domestic flight discounts, subsidies for organised tours and experiences designed for solo travellers.

Thailand’s tourism authority forecasts that three year-end travel campaigns will bring in ฿630 million and prompt more than 200,000 domestic trips. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) puts its full-year domestic tourism projection at 206 million trips, worth ฿1.1 trillion.
Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, TAT deputy governor for domestic marketing, said more than ฿100 million had been invested in the campaigns to encourage Thai travellers. The initiatives cover domestic flights, tour packages and activities for people travelling alone.
For air travel, the agency is offering a ฿500 reduction on each eligible one-way domestic booking across seven Thai airlines, with 99,000 bookings covered. The booking window closes in mid-December, while eligible flights run until mid-January.
TAT is also working with nine travel associations on tour subsidies. Buses carrying 30 or more passengers qualify for ฿10,000 daily, capped at ฿40,000 for each trip. Vans need six or more passengers to receive ฿2,500 daily, subject to a ฿10,000 trip limit. Packages must visit multiple provinces and last a minimum of two days, including an overnight stay.
Over 500 tour companies have applied to develop and sell packages under that programme. Pattaraanong said TAT expects roughly 50,000 travellers to benefit.
The solo-travel campaign, Single Journey 2026, comprises eight experiences. Among them are a silent outdoor cinema in Chon Buri, eco-trail tourism in Chiang Mai and a trip aboard the SRT Royal Blossom train.
