Nok Air has stopped operating flights linking Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport with Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Hat Yai for the period October 27 to December 20, citing increased aviation fuel costs.

Chief Executive Wutthiphum Jurangkool told Thai business outlet Thansettakij that expensive fuel had forced operational changes. The airline plans to deploy the aircraft on other routes as it considers more flights to India and additional destinations.

A Trang Airport notice confirmed that services DD592 and DD593 linking Trang with Don Mueang were cancelled for the same period. Thansettakij found that Nok Air’s booking system was not accepting reservations for any of the three affected destinations during the suspension.

Affected passengers can discuss refunds or alternative journeys with the airline or their booking agents. Thansettakij reported that refund processing may take 45 to 90 days. Depending on booking arrangements, some agents may offer a Nok Air service to Krabi as an alternative.

Nok Air has not confirmed when the affected routes will resume beyond the announced suspension period.
