Belavia opens Bangkok route ahead of Phuket service launch
The airline plans two flights a week to Phuket from October 29, providing approximately 2,248 inbound seats each month.

Bangkok received Belavia Belarusian Airlines’ first scheduled flight from Minsk on October 25, starting a direct connection that will run weekly. The arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport precedes the planned October 29 launch of a second Thai route, serving Phuket.
For Bangkok, Belavia operates on Sundays with an Airbus A330-200 carrying 281 seats. The cabin has space for 18 business-class passengers and 263 in economy. Phuket will be served twice weekly by the same aircraft type, providing approximately 2,248 inbound seats a month.
The scheduled routes follow earlier charter operations. Belavia started charters serving Phuket and U-Tapao Rayong–Pattaya International Airport in January 2026, then suspended them for the off-season. It announced the Bangkok route in June.
Visitors holding Belarusian passports qualify for Thailand’s Visa on Arrival, which permits stays lasting up to 15 days and costs ฿2,000, subject to immigration requirements. That eligibility was retained when Thailand introduced revised visa rules on September 15.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand reported 32,179 Belarusian visitors for 2025, a rise of 56.48% from the preceding year. It recorded 23,769 arrivals between January 1 and October 24, 2026, representing year-on-year growth of 1.25%. Its full-year forecast is between 30,000 and 35,000 arrivals.
