The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) conducted a full-day workshop for Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) participants on October 23, examining how visitor data, marketing strategies and partnerships can support destination promotion.

Sessions explored the use of consumer information and digital analytics to track visitor behaviour and tailor campaigns for international markets. Cambodian participants also discussed Singapore’s approach to destination branding, cooperation between public and private organisations, and the use of digital platforms to reach target audiences.

CTB chief executive Kim Minea said the exchange offered practical lessons that could help the board build its capabilities and improve Cambodia’s promotion overseas. Participants considered how Singapore’s methods could be adapted for Cambodia.

The workshop comes as CTB works to broaden the destinations featured in Cambodia’s tourism marketing. Alongside established attractions such as Angkor, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, the board is giving greater attention to the coastal destinations of Kampot and Kep.

CTB is also promoting Phnom Penh for city breaks and identifying around 100 lesser-known places across the capital. These include art schools, creative spaces and boutique cafés in landmark buildings designed by architect Vann Molyvann. The effort aims to encourage longer stays and introduce visitors to Cambodia’s contemporary cultural attractions beyond its ancient temples.
