Susi Air scheduled to restart two Nagan Raya routes on November 2
The planned services would connect Cut Nyak Dhien Airport with Medan four times weekly and Banda Aceh twice weekly.

Susi Air is due to restore two routes serving Nagan Raya District in Aceh Province on November 2, district head Teuku Raja Keumangan said. The services would link the district’s Cut Nyak Dhien Airport with Medan and Banda Aceh.
Plans call for four flights each week on the Medan route, while Banda Aceh would have two weekly services. Keumangan said the resumption would help revive operations at the airport serving southwestern Aceh.
The announcement followed talks in Jakarta on October 21 with airline owner Susi Pudjiastuti, who previously served as marine affairs and fisheries minister. Hizbulwatan, Nagan Raya’s acting regional secretary, joined the meeting.
Airport traffic declined following the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The pandemic and subsequent difficulties disrupted interregional flights used by residents, while the district government has sought partnerships to restore services.
Keumangan said the administration wanted the airport to serve residents and businesses while supporting regional development. He said air connections could widen economic access and strengthen links with activity centres across Aceh and North Sumatra.
