Thai Airways cancels six Taiwan flights amid Typhoon Champi
The cancellations affect Bangkok services to Taipei and Kaohsiung on October 23, with hundreds of flights disrupted across Taiwan.

Thai Airways International has cancelled six flights linking Bangkok with Taipei and Kaohsiung on October 23 because of severe weather brought by Typhoon Champi. Four of the affected services serve Taipei, while two operate on the Kaohsiung route.
The airline confirmed the cancellations in a notice published by the Thai government on October 22. The affected flights and their scheduled departure and arrival times were:
- TG632: Bangkok departure at 8.15am, Taipei arrival at 1.05pm. TG633: Taipei departure at 2.05pm, Bangkok arrival at 4.50pm.
- TG634: Bangkok departure at 12.40pm, Taipei arrival at 5.20pm. TG635: Taipei departure at 6.50pm, Bangkok arrival at 9.35pm.
- TG630: Bangkok departure at 11.45am, Kaohsiung arrival at 4.15pm. TG631: Kaohsiung departure at 5.15pm, Bangkok arrival at 7.55pm.
The times listed are local to each airport. Thai Airways advised passengers to check flight information on its website or THAI Mobile application before travelling.
Across Taiwan, the storm has led to hundreds of flight cancellations and the closure of schools and offices in many areas. Heavy rain and strong winds have affected the island, although forecasts indicate Champi will remain offshore rather than make a direct landfall.
