Ho Chi Minh City has announced plans to mark Vietnam Culture Day 2026 with architectural projections on November 21–24 and a televised arts programme with fireworks on November 24, alongside exhibitions and public cultural activities.

Under the municipal administration's plan, 3D mapping will illuminate the façades of the city's People's Committee headquarters and Rex Hotel. Sound, lighting and projected imagery will present subjects drawn from Vietnamese and local culture and history.

The November 24 broadcast is scheduled for 8:00 pm, linking Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in Sai Gon Ward, New City Central Park in Binh Duong Ward and Thap Tam Thang Square in Vung Tau Ward.

Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street will also host National Solidarity Day – Colors of Vietnamese Culture on November 18–24, featuring performances, sport and participatory activities. Displays covering cultural industries are planned for November 22–24, with craft demonstrations and opportunities to make handicrafts. Virtual and augmented reality will help present heritage, tourism destinations and cultural products.

An evening performance at Saigon Riverside Park on November 23 is scheduled to launch the 2026 Hozo International Music Festival. Separately, the Ho Chi Minh City International Photography Festival is planned for November 19–24, with venues including Le Van Tam Park, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street and Dong Khoi Street.

The city plans to encourage cultural venues, including museums, theatres and cinemas, to provide students, workers and tourists with free entry or reduced ticket prices during November 18–24. Con Dao Special Zone will host the Con Dao Legends book festival on November 19–22.

The wider promotional programme runs from October 15 to November 25. The plan allows cultural, arts and sporting events marking the occasion to continue until the end of December 2026.
