Kuwait Airways launches Phuket connection with plans for more flights
The twice-weekly service adds 556 inbound seats to Phuket, with a possible increase to four flights a week during the peak tourism season.

Phuket received its first direct Kuwait Airways service from Kuwait City on October 27. The airline is serving the route on Tuesdays and Saturdays with a 278-seat Airbus A330-900neo, adding 556 seats a week for passengers travelling to Phuket.
An expansion to as many as four flights weekly is planned for the period from December 2 to February 3, 2027. Whether the extra services operate will depend on aircraft availability and the final schedule.
The Phuket launch takes the airline’s weekly Thailand services to eight, including six flights serving Bangkok. Its combined inbound capacity for Thailand is now approximately 2,560 seats.
The first flight, KU407, arrived at 2.55pm. Airline representatives, local tourism partners and officials from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) greeted those on board at Phuket International Airport.
TAT plans joint promotions with tourism and airline partners covering Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi. These will feature holidays for families, resort stays, private villas, halal food and wellness activities.
TAT recorded 49,024 visitors from Kuwait entering Thailand from January 1 to October 25, 2026. The authority put their average spending per trip at ฿96,590, with stays lasting approximately 13 nights.
