Warsaw–Bangkok direct flights begin ahead of winter travel season
LOT Polish Airlines will increase the route from three to five flights a week on October 26, as Thailand seeks more visitors from Poland.

LOT Polish Airlines has opened a direct Warsaw–Bangkok route, with its inaugural flight departing Poland on October 7 and reaching Suvarnabhumi Airport on October 8. The service starts with three flights a week, rising to five weekly departures for the winter season from October 26.
The airline is using a 252-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for the journey, which takes approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes. Travellers departing Thailand can connect through Warsaw to LOT’s network of more than 100 destinations across Europe and other regions.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is backing the route with the airline and Polish tourism partners to attract visitors from Poland and elsewhere in Central Europe. TAT expects the extra capacity to encourage high-season trips beyond Bangkok, citing Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui and Chon Buri among destinations popular with Polish visitors.
Thailand recorded 237,570 arrivals from Poland in 2025, an increase of 31.46 per cent on the previous year. Between January 1 and September 30, 2026, Polish arrivals reached 164,807, up 12 per cent year on year. TAT forecasts around 250,000 arrivals for the full year.
TAT’s Prague office is hosting 30 participants on a familiarisation trip from October 8 to 11. The group includes 18 media representatives, six executives from LOT and six Polish travel operators. Their Bangkok–Rayong–Bangkok itinerary is intended to introduce destinations and tourism products for possible inclusion in packages sold in Poland.
TAT said it plans further marketing and sales work with LOT, tour operators and other partners in Central Europe linked to the service.
