SNT1/SNT2 trains refurbished for Ho Chi Minh City–Nha Trang service
The operator says the upgrades are intended to meet growing travel demand and boost rail tourism, with new bedding, Wi-Fi and improved air conditioning.

Passengers travelling between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang will use refurbished SNT1/SNT2 trains following a launch ceremony held by the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company. The operator, a Vietnam Railways subsidiary, said the improvements were aimed at accommodating increased demand and encouraging rail tourism.
The company said the trains comprise 32 carriages, offering sleeping compartments with four or six berths, plus a dining carriage. Cream and sea-inspired blue colours feature in the redesigned interiors. Bedding and curtains have been replaced, while lighting and audio equipment have been upgraded. Wi-Fi is available, and security cameras run continuously.
In carriage No. 11907, a redesigned air-distribution system is intended to make the air conditioning quieter and give passengers control over the temperature. Selected soft-sleeper carriages containing 24 berths have also been fitted with vending machines and check-in areas.
Managers and attendants have undergone training on passenger service, courteous communication and providing assistance in English. At the ceremony, Vietnam Railways members’ council member Diep Anh Tuan welcomed the upgrades but said reliable, professional service throughout each trip mattered more than appearance and comfort.
Vietnam Railways committed to cooperating with the operator on service standards and safety while adapting to market demand. It also pledged to build partnerships supporting tourism on the route and to refine and expand successful services linking transport with tourism.
